The Jaws Challenge has been given the green light

Bombs will go off in Maui on Monday. Natxo Gonzalez is already on his way to the islands


The second stage of the world big wave circuit, the Jaws Challenge, has already been given the green light, the WSL announced on its social networks. The forecast confirmed that the swell will arrive with good size, shape and conditions and the decision was made.

Basque surfer Natxo González is already travelling to the islands, as his filmmaker Jon Aspuru showed on his Instagram stories. In the early hours of Friday morning for Saturday they were already leaving for the airport.

The tournament competitors are:

-The best ranked of the world tour: Billy Kemper, Kai Lenny, Ian Walsh, Makuakai Rothman, Lucas Chianca, Jamie Mitchell, Tom Lowe, Alex Botelho, Greg Long, Natxo Gonzalez

-Wildcard due to injury: Will Skudin

-Ranked by performance of the year: Grant Baker, Nathan Florence, Jojo Roper, Russell Bierke
