There will be Central Americans on the beach in Santa Marta and they will have surfing

Another Olympic event wants to bring waves up close

The first edition of the Central American and Caribbean Beach Games will be held in Santa Marta, Colombia, from November 19 to 26, and will feature surfing as one of its sports, a source from the organization told DUKE.

The event will feature surfers from countries in that region, although the numbers by discipline, and the disciplines themselves, are not yet known.

Surfing appears alongside sports such as swimming, beach soccer, beach rugby, beach tennis, among others.

The competition is within the Olympic world and therefore, for the athletes who participate, there will be consequences within the world of federations, scholarships and incentives from the national Olympic committees.

We will expand.
