There will be a 2023 South American youth tournament in Mar del Plata

It is the second consecutive edition of the event that takes place in La Feliz; it will be held from March 28

A new edition of the South American youth championship will be held in Mar del Plata starting on March 28, the Chilean surfing federation announced on its Instagram.

The event, which was traditionally held in Colombia, had an edition in Mar del Plata in 2022 and is now being repeated.

At last year's event, on a tough final day, the Peruvians were crowned champions against the local Argentines.

The Chileans have already announced their team to participate in the test and it consists of the following surfers:

Under 18 men:
1. Noel De La Torre
2. Kuhane Pakomio

Under 18 women:
1. Estela Lopez
2. Isidora Bultó

Under 16 men:
1. Renato Medina
2. Thomas Castillo

Under 16 women surfing:
1. Isidora Bultó
2. Rafaella Montesi

Under 14 men:
1. Noah Phillips
2. Inti Navarro

Under 14 women:
1. Isidora Bultó
2. Chiara Bagoni
