Mar del Plata will host a third consecutive South American surfing event on the waves of Biology in 2020, the event's organizers reported in a press release.
The date has not been confirmed, but according to statements from various actors, it will be held in the same setting as the two previous editions, early to mid-November.
"The party we had was incredible, very nice. We had delegations from Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Argentina in Mar del Plata and all the competitors showed great camaraderie and attitude for the competition. They all toasted the public that was on the beach following their actions. We hope that history continues and we are already working on the third edition," said the president of the ASA, Freddy Tortora.
Sebastián Loustau, director of Biología Club, said: “We hope that the 2020 edition will exceed the objectives we set for ourselves. We are super happy, with our hearts full of energy and the love of all the athletes and their families. For us, it is an honor to organize this event and start the season like this and close it with the Rip Curl Pro, which is a stage of the World Surfing Championships.”
