There will also be no G-Land on this year's tour

The world tour now has eight stages left before its finals (if they take place); it is the shortest circuit since the tragic 2001

The WSL has deleted the GLand stage from the 2021 tour calendar, without a press release or publications, it has disappeared, as can be seen on the website, as noted by the Spanish website surf30.

In the original calendar (see below) it appeared with a date to be defined between the Gold Coast stage (in May) and the Rio de Janeiro stage (in June) and also between the ISA World Surfing Games in El Salvador which is at the end of May-beginning of June.

This is the shortest circuit since 2001, when the attack on the twin towers generated worldwide uncertainty that halted all competitions and CJ Hobgood was crowned world champion after only four stages completed.

With the cancellations announced yesterday, the world tour now stands as follows:

1- Pipe Masters – Already done
2- Bells – April 1-11
3- Margaret River – April 16-26
4- Gold Coast – May 3-13
5- Rio de Janeiro – June 11-20
6- JBay – June 25 to July 9
7- Surf Ranch – August 12-15
8- Teahupoo – August 23 to September 2

Finals: 8-17 September in Lowers.

This is how the tour looked when it was announced.
