Registration for the Arica Pro Tour, which returns this year, opened a week ago. There are now 19 brave entrants who will fight for 2000 points and the glory of winning El Gringo, the South American Pipe.

The event, which will take place from October 22 to 26, already has competitors from Chile, Peru, Brazil, the United States, and Argentina.

Some highlights include: Alonso Correa, Joaquín del Castillo, Franco Radziunas, the De La Torre brothers, and Ryan Kainalo.
