These are the European qualifiers for the ALAS Global Tour finals.

An Irishman, two Spaniards, two Portuguese women, a German man, an English woman, and a Dutch man will be in Punta Mango between November 17 and 23.

Gearoid McDaid of Ireland, the new European champion, Luis Diaz of Spain, silver medalist, Oliver Heintz of the Netherlands, bronze medalist and Tim Elter of Germany, copper medalist, along with the new European champion Mafalda Lopez of Portugal, Ariane Ochoa of Spain, silver medalist, Maria Salgado also of Portugal, bronze medalist and Charlotte Mulley of England, are the eight qualifiers from Europe for the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Global Finals that will take place in Punta Mango between November 17 and 23.

The eight surfers received their invitations and plane tickets today from ALAS president Karín Sierralta.

They will participate in the ALAS global finals against qualifiers from the Americas, Asia, and other invited teams from around the world.

In an interview with DUKE, the president of ALAS said the surfers were impressed with the prize money the top four took home from the European federation event held on the Portuguese beach of Santa Cruz.

Many of the qualified competitors have traveled to El Salvador for a World Championship, but they competed in the La Bocana or El Sunzal areas, but never in Punta Mango, as this will be their first international event in the wave.
