With Jackson Baker, Mikey Wright and Philipa Anderson as wildcards, these are the heats of the second stage of the CT, the Newcastle Pro that will take place between April 1 and 11.
On March 6, the charter flight that will take the world's best players to Australia will depart from Los Angeles, where they will be forced to quarantine for two weeks.
Ranked leader John John Florence takes on Conner Coffin and Deivid Silva, reigning world champion Italo Ferreira will face Frederico Morais and Griffin Colapinto, and Medina will face Dora and Wright.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, Carissa Moore takes on Sage Erickson and Phillipa Anderson and Gilmore takes on Johanne Defay and Bronte Macaulay. Round 1 opens with an Australian super showdown featuring Sally Fitzgibbons, Nikki Van Dijk and Macy Callaghan.
