The Rip Curl Pro Mar del Plata confirmed its series yesterday, when registrations for the event closed with a total of 86 competitors, 56 men and 30 women.

There will be a first round of 56 surfers in four heats of four, from which eight will advance and these will be distributed in the eight heats of the next round, which will have three pre-qualifiers.

They will then advance to Round 3 where the top 16 seeds await, two in each of the eight series.

Among the women, the series of 32 was closed with eight series of four surfers and three of three.
