Japan's Kanoa Igarashi and Italy's Leo Fioravanti reviewed over 1000 videos and chose the following eight groms as Young Guns 2018 finalists: Samuel Pupo, Callum Robson, Noah Beschen, Kian Martin, Justin Becret, Jett Schilling, Marco Mignot and Mateus Herdy.

Of these, only three will qualify for the grand finale, which will take place at the Surf Ranch on July 27. The fourth will be hand-picked as a wildcard for the championship.
