The organizers of the El Buey Big Wave Championship have released a list of international and local guests and another list of entrants from around the world. The waiting period has already begun and will last until October.

In addition, the event reaffirmed its twinning with the La Vaca Gigante championship, which takes place on the wave of the same name in Santander, Spain. This meant that the winner of the event was invited to the sister event.

Some of the invited heavyweights are Lucas Chianca, Nic Lamb, Cristobal de Col and Andrew Cotton. Among the locals are Chris Herold, Guille Satt, Germán Varas and Chacha Ibarra, among others.

The entrants also include heavyweights such as Cristian Merello, Aguja di Pace, Jojo Ropper, Miguel Tudela, Ale and Martín Fuenzalida, among others.
