These are the scenarios for the definition of the national surfing championship in Costa Rica
Brownell and Cande Resano are already champions. Fillingim, Torres, Hernandez, Chacon and Calvo will fight in Playa Hermosa
With the early consecration of Rubiana Brownell in the Open women's category and Candelaria Resano in the Minigroms women's category as Costa Rican surfing champions 2018, the final stage of the national circuit to be held between July 27 and 29 in Playa Hermosa, holds a good degree of suspense in the rest of the categories.
These are the scenarios for the consecration that the Costa Rican surfing federation prepared:
MALE OPEN
-Anthony Fillingim: A third place is enough to become National Champion. Anything less than that and the next four contenders could start to sneak in.
-Jason Torres: Needs a 1st and for Anthony Fillingim to finish 4th or worse at Playa Hermosa.
-Jordan Hernandez: Needs a 1st and for Anthony to not go beyond 7th in Hermosa and Jason 2nd.
-André Chacón: He needs a 1st place and for Anthony not to finish higher than 17th in Playa Hermosa, Jason 4th and Jordan 3rd.
-Leonardo Calvo: He needs a 1st place so that Anthony doesn't go beyond 17th in Playa Hermosa, Jason 4th, Jordan 3rd and André 2nd.
-Meanwhile, Malakai Martinez announced his absence for the match. Otherwise, he would enter the game.
JUNIOR
-Samuel Reidy: He needs a 1st place to be National Champion.
-Aaron Ramirez: He needs a 1st place to be National Champion.
-Malakai Martínez has already announced that he will be absent on the date.
FEMALE JUNIOR
-Valeria Ojeda: A 2nd place is enough for her to be National Champion.
-Coral Wiggins: She needs a 1st and Valeria needs to stay at 3rd.
-Rubiana Brownell will be absent on the date.
BOYS
-Aaron Ramirez: He needs a 1st place to be National Champion.
-Samuel Reidy: He needs a 1st place to be National Champion.
-Kenneth Peralta: He needs a 1st and that Samuel and Aaron do not go beyond 3rd.
GIRLS
-Candelaria Resano: She needs a 2nd and Valeria should not go beyond 3rd.
-Valeria Ojeda: She needs a 2nd and Candelaria should not go beyond 3rd.
GROMMETS:
-Axel Castro: A 3rd place is enough for him to be National Champion.
-Kai Galé: He needs a 1st place and for Axel not to reach the final.
MINIGROMMET:
-Leo Apreda: A 2nd place is enough for him to be National Champion.
-Teo Galé: He needs a 1st and Leo doesn't need to go beyond 3rd.
-Ethan Hollander: He needs a 1st place and Teo must not go beyond 3rd and Leo must not go beyond 7th.
