A marathon schedule was established and published for the Copa Gran Pacífica, the second stage of the ALAS tour that will begin tomorrow, Thursday, August 29, in the waves of Playa Azuchillo, Nicaragua.
In total, 79 series will be held for the championship to crown its champions in the four categories and eight divisions (two per gender).
The schedule published by ALAS is tentative but plans to start at 6am and complete an almost full day of surfing, finishing at 16:20pm, which with the time between series will surely make it later.
Below are the details of what will go into the water:
As for the series, in Open, the category with the most entrants, there are eight pre-qualifiers in round 2 for both men and women, and a format of 12, 8, 4, 2 and 1 and 4, 4, 2 and 1.
The U18 category also had a good number of entrants and used a pre-qualifying system that will enter the water in round 2.
