These are the series of the Vissla ISA World Junior Surfing Championship
The event begins today in Huntington Beach after the opening ceremony.
A total of 343 surfers from 44 nations will compete starting today in the largest junior surfing tournament in the world, the Vissla ISA World Junior Surfing Surfing Championship.
After a long week of surfing, the female and male champions in the under 16 and under 18 categories will be crowned, as well as the winning nation, that is, the one that combines the best scores among all its competitors.
Last year, also in Huntington, the winning team was Japan.
This is the competition schedule for this week:
October 26 - Opening Ceremony 10:00am - 12:00pm; Parade of Nations on Main St., Sands of the World Ceremony at Pier Plaza.
October 26 - Potential start of the competition at 3pm on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier.
October 27 and November 3 - Competition on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier, 7:30am - 5pm
November 3 - Closing Ceremony at Pier Plaza following the close of the competition.
