Griffin Colapinto, Seth Moniz, Koa Rothman, Barron Mamiya, Landon McNamara, Cam Richards, John John Florence, Flynn Novak and Mark Healey are the finalists of the Winter Wave contest organized by the Californian site Surfline.

The winner will be announced on May 6th and will be chosen by the panel of judges comprised of Gerry Lopez, Shane Dorian, Pancho Sullivan and Shawn Briley.

There are nine surfers and 12 waves because John John, Koa Rothman and Griffin Colapinto reached the final stage with two waves each.

The winner will take home $25.000.
