These would be the qualifiers for surfing in Paris 2024 if the CT ends today

Brisa is still guaranteed; neither Medina nor Ferreira nor Slater nor Kolohe would be surfing Teahupoo

With two of the 10 stages of the WSL regular season now contested, the landscape of those who qualify for surfing in Paris 2024 through the most hierarchical entry point, the WSL CT, is very interesting.

The two Brazilian qualifiers are not the same as those from Tokyo 2020, Medina and Ferreira, but Toledo and the young Chianca. John John would be repeating and Colapinto making his debut; South Africa would have full quotas in the men's category with Jordy and Matt and Robinson and Ewing making their debuts.

Slater, who wants to go so badly, is far away because he not only has John John and Griffin but also his compatriots Seth Moniz and Nat Young ahead of him in the rankings.

Among the women, Brisa Hennessy is comfortably inside, Steph Gilmore would be left out and Tyler Wright and Molly Picklum would be making their debuts; due to the limited variety of countries at the women's level, Bonvalot, who is replacing injured people, would be qualifying, as would Johanne Defay, who has not yet competed in any stage.
