The traditional Hang Loose Pro Contest will return to the waves of Cacimba do Padre, in Fernando de Noronha with a QS 6000 that will take place between February 19 and 24, the WSL South America reported in a press release two days ago.

This tournament was held in Hawaii, Brazil, on several occasions between the late 2012s and 2007, when it was last held there. In XNUMX, for example, the Spaniard Aritz Aranburu was the champion of the stage.

This will be the first QS 6000 of the year, before the traditional tournaments in Newcastle and Sydney, Australia. It will award 130.000 dollars, of which 25.000 will go to the champion.

The Hang Loose Pro Contest is one of the most traditional surfing tournaments in the history of Brazil. It began in 1986 and had exactly 31 editions.
