The full guest list for the Eddie Aikau Memorial Big Wave Classic was deleted from its official website between yesterday and the day before yesterday, a source told DUKE and it was verified.

The note that included the list of all the names, including male and female substitutes and legends (click here), was removed from the web, without the organization providing any explanation.

The reason is unknown. It is presumed that there were some surfers who had been left out of the headlines, the most notable being Greg Long, who was third alternate and the top 5 and surfer of the 2009 edition, Ramón Navarro, was not on the list.

What does continue to appear are the guests already announced through the tournament's Instagram.

In addition to DUKE, the list had already been published by more than one publication from different parts of the world.
