Yellow alert given for Quemao Class
The Atlantic Pipeline is expected to be switched on between December 17 and 20

The classic Atlantic Pipeline event, the Quemao Class, has been given a yellow alert to take place between December 17 and 20, as a result of the long series of storm surges that are forming in the North Atlantic.
The first of these will see the Nazaré Challenge take place tomorrow, but the waves will continue to break across Europe and the North Atlantic.
"The weather forecasts are increasingly favourable and the Quemao wave is already beginning to reach its most extreme conditions, ideal for this event that offers a unique spectacle," say the organisers.
They added that defending champions Aritz Aranburu and Amaury Lavernhe will be present at the event, as will Manuel Lezcano, Joan Duru, Cristian Portelli, Mike Stewart, Eithan Osborne, Tanner McDaniel and Miguel Blanco, among others.
