This Wednesday, January 12, the La Vaca Gigante big wave tournament will be held at the La Cantera break, in Cueto, Santander, Cantabria, the organization reported in a press release sent to the press.

“Local surfers and wave forecasting experts say that the necessary factors have been aligned to guarantee quality and safety for the championship: good swell, with the right energy and wind, the necessary coefficient, high tide at a good time… All this translates into waves of six metres in height, which in some series could be even higher,” the statement said.

They add that some of the surfers who guaranteed their presence are Natxo Gonzalez, Alex Zirke, Juan Fernández and the Chilean Rafael Tapia, in addition to the locals.
Luis and Nico Garcia, Nano Riego, Miguel Welsh and Juan Teran.

The event will distribute 3000 euros in prizes.
