Argentine Thiago Passeri and Peruvian Daniella Rosas won the Pan American silver medal today in Playa Venao and placed themselves as first alternates for qualification to Lima 2027 in case the champions, Douglas Silva and Silvana Lima, are surpassed in the qualification by compatriots.
Passeri started his final series well, but a 10 from Silva thanks to a high and fluid aerial left him needing 9 points that never came.
The final score was 16,5 to 14,4.
Meanwhile, Daniella Rosas also started with scores that put Lima in trouble, but the Brazilian managed to find a couple of waves that made the difference and crowned her champion again.
Lima won by 11,9 to 11,4.
Lucca Mesinas and Alex Suárez tied for third place, taking the bronze. Leilani McGonagle won the women's bronze.
Brazil secured another Pan American title, its fourth in the last five held.
