Young Argentine Thiago Passeri achieved a double third place in the Western United States Surfing Association stage this weekend in Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, his father, Martín Passeri, reported on social media.
Thiago surfed nine heats in one day to place third in the under 16 and under 18 categories.
The Argentine still competes in the under 14 category, meaning he participated in categories at least two years older than him.
One of his sponsors, John John Florence's Veia Supplies brand, dedicated a post to him sharing his photo: “Thiago was on fire this weekend at the Western Surfing Association competition.”
