Thiago Passeri showing off in Flopos

"Absolute fun, lots of tubes and lots of wipeouts," is how the young Argentine talent described the experience.

If there were a recipe for making a champion, it would be Thiago Passeri and his father Martín.

Being an elite surfer requires surfing well, of course, but it doesn't end there... You have to have a good head, develop your skills in big waves and compete in the biggest events in the world.

Some of that, among many other things, is what the two mentioned above have been doing.

But it can also happen that the roadmap is written and the student does not follow it. This is not the case.

Thiago Passeri went to Arica in January to compete in the regional Olas tour, won the stage and in his free time he surfed El Gringo, also known as Flopos and showed that he has the skills to play guitar. Be careful, Flopos is a small one and many people think that it is more dangerous when he is big because the wave breaks just a few centimetres from the rocks.

Finally, a note in favor of the wave itself: It breaks in July and May and also in January. The South American Pipe is crazy.
