Thiago and Martín Passeri, father and son in competition

There comes a day when your son competes in the same category as you.

Presents Quiksilver Argentina

At just 12 years old, Thiago Passeri's talent has made him worthy of starting his path in the first division of Argentine surfing. The youngster is drawing well-defined lines in the waves, making explosive movements with fundamentals, without rushing.

He has a good teacher, Martín Passeri, one of the most legendary Argentine surfers, 46 years old and with six national titles.

Last week they were in the same championship, they didn't compete in the same series, but it sure felt interesting for both of them.

The oldest one ended up placing third and the youngest one managed to get into round 2, starting a path that you don't have to be a genius to know will be successful.

“The values we stand on are what define us. Competition is not a value, it is a real-life school that tests our ability to continue being ourselves without breaking our principles,” said Martin regarding the path his son has just begun.

The video clearly shows what the day was like, the talent of both players and that everyone agrees that Thiaguito has a good future ahead of him.
