This is how Peru forms in the Backdoor Shootout
Once again there will be Inkateam at one of the most prestigious events on the planet

The Peruvian Tubos Team will be present for the fourth consecutive year at the Backdoor Shootout, a traditional tube event that takes place in the queen of the waves, this time between January 4 and 16, 2024.
According to information provided to DUKE by traditional team member Alvaro Malpartida, who will be out of the team this time due to injury, the Peruvians who will compete in this edition of one of the most prestigious tournaments on the planet are:
Joaquin del Castillo
Gabriel Villaran
Alonso Correa
Sebastian Correa
Christopher Columbus
Substitutes:
Martin Jeri
Kalani Rivero
The team already has four of its members in Mecca: Joaquín del Castillo and Alonso Correa, and the rest will arrive in the following days.
Peru achieved a very good participation in the 2022 edition of the tournament in which they had a series with some of the best waves of the championship.
According to the organization, there will be eight teams competing in the 2024 edition of the tournament in addition to the traditional Longboard, Bodysurf and SUP Surf categories.
