Spain will be present with a full team at the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Longboard Championship that will take place between May 7 and 13 in El Sunzal.
The Spaniards, who finished in a modest 21st place at the last World Championships held in Biarritz in 2019 (where they competed with three out of four competitors), are taking on the event with the following team, according to the ISA on its website:
Men
Jon Garmendia
Nicolás García
Women
Yumey Gonzalez
Carlota Jauregui
Nico Garcia, also known as Nikki Dora, has been invited to the traditional Duct Tape and was also the 2022 WSL European Champion.
Meanwhile, Jon Garmendia has been a two-time Spanish longboard champion and is a proud shaper of his own boards.
Among the ladies, both declare that they are following a relatively amateur path in longboarding, however Yumey, who is a PhD candidate, has already been Spanish champion four times and occupies fourth position in the European ranking.
