Uruguay will be at the Pan American Surfing Championships that will take place in Punta Rocas, Peru, between October 2 and 11, with an incomplete team but with more than one international talent, according to information provided to DUKE by the event organizers.
In the general classification, the team is missing all of its SUP Surfers and SUP Racers, but it managed to include the recently reinstated bodyboard category with the legendary Diego Furiatti as part of the team and then it has several talents such as the longboarders Julián Schweizer and Nacho Pignataro and Marcela Machado in the women's category. Among the open men, the smooth operator Martín Ottado stands out.
Agustín Zanotta, who has just demonstrated his good surfing at ALAS in Nicaragua, is making his debut on the team.
