Special coverage presented by ASOSURF 

The Uruguayan surfing team will be present at the PASA Games Guatemala 2025 Pan American Surf Festival, which will take place at Playa El Rosario between July 3 and 13, PASA informed DUKE.

The Uruguayans aren't traveling with a full team, but they're bringing some notable talents, such as recently crowned South American bronze medalist Martín Ottado, former CT longboard members Nacho Pignataro and Julián Schweizer, and ALAS top-five player Marcela Machado.

The Uruguayans finished 12th at the previous Pan American Games, held in 2024 in Punta Rocas, Peru. At that time, they won a silver medal, which went to Schweizer in the longboard category.
