The Venezuelan surfing federation announced an almost complete team of 11 surfers who will participate in the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Junior Surfing Championship that will take place between May 27 and June 5 in the waves of La Bocana and El Sunzal.
Venezuela has two well-known talents on its lines: Valería Ojeda and Keoni Lasa, both with experience in international tournaments and with competitive experience in El Salvador.

Venezuela finished 40th in the last ISA Junior World Championships, held in 2019 in Huntington Beach. On that occasion, the team competed with two competitors. In 2018, it placed 37th and competed with four surfers.
Prior to that, in 2017 and 2016 he did not participate in the World Cups in Japan and the Azores.
In 2015 he participated with two surfers and placed 34th.
The previous year, 2014, in Salinas, Ecuador, was the last time she participated with a full team and she achieved 14th place. In 2013, in Nicaragua, Venezuela, she achieved 12th place in the overall team ranking.
