This is how JBay's series turned out without John John and Coco Ho
Three wildcards remain to be defined
The heats for the sixth stage of the world surfing circuit, the Corona Open at Jeffreys Bay, have been updated after John John Florence and Coco Ho announced they would not be competing.
Both have injured knees and have withdrawn from the event. While in the women's tournament it has already been determined that Sage Erickson will be Ho's replacement and Bianca Buitendag the local wildcard, in the men's tournament three vacant spots are still to be determined.
It is known that one will definitely go to the locals. The WSL has not yet announced what will happen to the rest.
The South African tournament begins its waiting period on the 9th and runs until the 22nd.
