With the increase in participating surfers, the prize money also increased to $12.500.
“The main thing to highlight about the 2025 edition of the event is that it is being repeated and expanded,” said competitor and co-organizer of the event, Lucas Madrid. “With longboarding, with the Uruguayan circuit stage and a very large increase in the prize pool. For me as a competitor, that was always something that had great importance, mainly because you always had to travel from Uruguay to expensive destinations and the prizes are very motivating,” he added.
Madrid also said: “On the sporting side, we continue to be lucky enough to have surfers who have already become world champions, Olympic surfers, Pan American medalists, Latin champions, both from Argentina and Uruguay, who will be present at the event.”
