There is no major news regarding what had already been disclosed by DUKE regarding those qualified for surfing in Santiago 2023, the Pan American Surfing Association informed DUKE in a document with confirmed athletes.
These are athletes who are no longer provisionally classified but confirmed by their Olympic committees for the event that will take place between October 24 and 30 in Punta de Lobos.
Of what was perhaps most up in the air, it was confirmed that due to the event of Erin Brooks (who will not be able to compete because she has not completed her Canadian naturalization process), Candelaria Resano entered and Tatiana Weston Webb, who was thought to be unable to attend due to international commitments, ended up confirming her presence.
The other novelty is that the Chileans who did not qualify individually for Santiago 2023, who occupy the last place in the seeding, go to the Open Men, Guillermo Satt with the 15th seed and Manuel Selman with the 16th seed and in the women's category Estela López with the 15th seed and Jessica Anderson with the 16th.
