The schedule for the Pan American Surfing Games was published yesterday by PASA and shows several new features.

Firstly, day 1 will not be reserved only for the opening ceremony, but there will be competition from 7 AM and the ceremony will take place at 3 PM.

Secondly, during the first three days of the event, only bodyboarders and SUP surfers will be on the water. Longboarders will make their debut on the 4th, shortboarders on the 5th, and then bodyboarders on the 6th.

It is presumed that this decision is due to the fact that there are several competitors in Huntington Beach in the QS 4000 that takes place there.

Another new feature is that there will be awards throughout the event: Day 4 for body and SUP Surf, Day 7 for longboard and Day 9 for shortboard and race.
