71 series will be needed to crown the champions in the eight categories in dispute

Surfing at the XII Central American Games will be compressed into five days of events, between October 17 and 21, and will require 71 series to complete the tournament and crown the champions in the eight categories in dispute: Shortboard, Longboard, Bodyboard and SUP Race, male and female, the organization informed DUKE.

According to the tentative schedule, with no set times yet, the event will see all wave categories hitting the water on its first day, and racers, like in the Pan American Games, will determine the champions in three races.

On the other hand, there will be several days to announce the gold medalists. The first will be the women's longboard event on the third day of the event. The bodyboarders will then determine their champion on the fourth day, and the remaining winners will be determined on the fifth day.
