Costa Rican-German Leon Glatzer made it to the Stab High final

A giant frontside aerial worth 33 out of 50 possible points put him in the top 12 of the event.

Costa Rican and German Leon Glatzer, a local from the perfect left of Pavones in Costa Rica, managed to get into the grand final of Stab High, the prestigious aerial event that is taking place in the wave pool of Shizunami, Japan.

Glatzer missed his backside attempts on the right but when he went front he completed the aerial giant with full rotation.

Since only one move counts towards making it to the grand final, those 33 points from that wave earned him the ticket, placing him tied for seventh place with Matt Meola, former champion of the event.

The top 10 was as follows:

And they are joined by Albee Layer and Levi Slawson who entered at the end of the day, in sudden death.

The event continues tonight in the Americas, Sunday morning in Japan.

The youth categories that have Mexican Lucas Cassity will go into the water.
