Costa Rican and Israeli Nadav Attar achieved the runner-up position in the WSL Junior World Championships

Janire González Etxebarri placed third in the event; Huapatz and Henry won the event

Costa Rican-Israeli Nadav Attar achieved the biggest result of his career today in the Philippines after becoming the junior world runner-up in the biggest event of the World Surf League category.

On a day of small waves at the WSL Junior World Championship held on the right-handers of Urbitzondo Beach, Attar managed to get through his semi-final heat against Australian Winter Vincent, but then couldn't overcome Dane Henry in the final by 13,67 to 11,4.

For her part, Basque surfer Janire González Etxebarri was unable to win her semi-final series against Australian Sierra Kerr and finished the event with a very good third place.

Henry and Isla Huapatz, who beat Kerr in the final by 12,67 to 12,17, were crowned world champions and among other things secured a place in the challenger series.
