From the water by the legendary Jose Madalengoitia of Humano Cine

Special coverage presented by ASOSURF - Video and text by Jose Madalengoitia @humanocine

The weather today, November 18, dawned with a cloudy but super cloudy sky.

Compared to yesterday, the waves rose slightly but improved in shape; it is a very small swell with a very short period, but it feels like this beach is a magnet for energy, as there are still rippable and strong waves. The tide dawned at mid-ebbing.

The peculiarity of this beachbreak is that at high tide, the waves on the bottom tend to be pot-bellied and only when they reform close to the shore do they become hollow enough to execute the maneuvers that would score better. On the other hand, at low tide, good walls form, the wave becomes hollower and faster and allows for at least two maneuvers.

I think that those with good aerial play could have more of an advantage if the conditions hold. Location and currents also play a role. High tides bring stronger currents (today it was pulling south) and at low tide it calms down.

It is a wave that varies a lot with the tides.
