“Music has always been linked to the world of surfing, and we have been developing this connection in an increasingly strong way at our events. Today, the WSL experience goes far beyond the competition, and the musical presence has become an important part of this connection with the public,” said WSL Latin America President Ivan Martinho in a statement published on the organization's website.

Martinho stated that this will be the line that the organization has drawn and that it will maintain this line.

“With this recent trajectory of growth and innovation, expectations are high for the VIVO Rio Pro 2026, which will be held from June 19 to 27, again in Saquarema. While the musical lineup has not yet been officially announced, the WSL promises to maintain the evolutionary trajectory of recent years, consolidating the event as one of the leading sporting and entertainment events on the Brazilian calendar,” the statement reads.

In the same statement they detail the number of bands that have passed through the Brazilian events, such as Um dos primers grandes marcos dessa construção aconteceu em 2020, such as Teco Padaratz, The Cosmic Surfer Band, Moriel Costa, Chico Martins, Juliana Gorito, Hendo Bayer, Summer Macedo, Paulinho Freitas, Joe Turpel and DJ Bocayuva.
