Today the waiting period for the La Vaca Gigante big wave tournament began
Between October 18 and May 3, the Santander breakers are expected to reach six meters in height to compete in the championship

The traditional tournament on the Cantabrian coast, La Vaca Gigante, opened its waiting period for waves today, the organization reported in a press release.
Waves of 18 to 3 meters are expected to arrive from October 6 to May 8 for the tournament to take place.
12 locals and 12 from the rest of the world will participate in the competition, fighting for a prize of 3000 Euros.
The last champion of the event was the Galician Juan Fernández.
Club Obsession A2, the tournament's organizer, said that they have worked "very hard" to make La Vaca Gigante moo again. Only thanks to the efforts of all those involved will it be possible to enjoy this competition again.
