Peruvian Miguel Tudela dominated his heat in Round 2 of the Billabong Pro Pipeline currently being contested; he placed second in his heat to advance to Round 3 where he will face Italo Ferreira.

Tudela received low scores for the hits he made.

Jordy Smith surfed the best wave of the day, receiving 9,73.

The final score of the series was as follows:

1st: Jordy Smith 15,73 (9,73+6)
2nd: Miguel Tudela 14,83 (7,83+7)
3rd: Imaikalani Devault 11 (4+7)

Now Tudela will face Italo Ferreira in round 3.
