The action went off topic on the second day of the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Latin Pro, the waves grew and the winners of round 1 entered and then faced the pre-qualified players of round 3. The same happened among the women, defining the quarterfinals.

There were more than five nines and three totals exceeding 17 points.

This gallery by legendary French photographer Phillippe Demarsan reflects this.

Beto Muñoz had a day that started well, he scored a 9 on his best wave, he got into round 3 where he couldn't get through. In the photo he is heading to 9. By Demarsan
Surfing like this, Oli Camarena made it to round 4 and will now face Chileans Guga Dvorquez and Duende Cross.
In this wave Jair Pérez scored 9 points but as he did not have good support he was left out, behind Carlos Muñoz and Jhony Corzo.
Maikol Torres did not make it to the fourth round of the event by 0,34 points. He lost to his compatriot Oscar Urbina and local player Erickson Adbias.

Malakai Martínez surfed very well and did not go beyond half a point in his heat against Alonso Correa and Oli Camarena.
Alonso Correa is motivated in El Salvador.
Sam Reidy, who had been surfing very well, couldn't find the waves and fell to Leon Glatzer and Aaron Alvarez.
Leon Glatzer has been surfing at a good pace. Tomorrow he will face Martín Passeri and Manuel Rivas.
Gato Chila, who is going into the water tomorrow, was training at the picturesque beach break of El Tunco.
JJ López, who won here in 2018, was eliminated today at the hands of Beto Muñoz, Tommy Bursian and Tiago Carrique.
Manuel Rivas made it to round 3 and put himself on the same level as Porfirio and Bryan, the three of them are, at least until now, the three best surfers in the tournament.
El Tunco local Manuel Rivas is happy and has reason to be.
Estela López Cross also has reasons to be happy: She is making a splash and has made it to the quarter-finals. Tomorrow she faces Rachel Presti.
Analí Gómez is on a roll and tomorrow she has the most contested series of the entire event so far, she will face Costa Rican Leilani McGonagle. Who will win?
Lorena Fica surfed very well in the morning when the waves were more consistent. She applied an impeccable strategy that she was unable to repeat in round 2 and said goodbye to the event.
With reasons to smile, the competitions are back and Leilani is breaking through.
Unstoppable on the left: Lucca Mesinas
Another great local who made a splash today was Bryan Pérez. Tomorrow he'll be seen with Noel de la Torre and Carlos Muñoz. What a series!
Guga Dvorquez from Arica combined good moves in his heat, scoring a nine after destroying a left and backing up with a 5,8. He came in second behind Alonso Correa and knocking out one of the event favorites, Sebastian Williams.
The highest aerial of the day, by far, but not completed, by Guille Satt who advanced anyway and tomorrow faces the defending champion Noe Mar McGonagle and Costa Rican Aaron Alvarez.
