Several of the world's most crowded spots are empty and perfect these days and a good part of the largest surfing population on the planet has to dedicate itself to watching the waves go by.

California beaches have been explicitly closed to surfers since last week and more than one person couldn't resist. Stab reports of one who was surfing Upper Trestles but was unable to be apprehended by authorities because rains caused some roads to be closed; the man goes into the water, surfs for a while and then disappears into the bushes.

But yesterday's news came from two surfers, one called Don Abadie and his unidentified partner, who went on a small boat to Lowers, the southern California spot par excellence, formerly a stage of the world tour, the birthplace of several of the best surfers on the planet and one of the most populated spots in the world.

Their session apparently went well for half an hour until for some unknown reason the boat, which cannot be seen anchored on Surfline's cameras, ended up being dragged towards the shore and the surfers were arrested by half a dozen officers, Stab and The Inertia reported.

The surfer doesn't seem to have been any worse off because a few hours ago he was sharing on Instagram the comments of the people who had tagged him.

This fact adds to that of the Malibu SUPer who also couldn't help but see the perfect and classic right breaking perfectly last week and went into the water to be quickly arrested by the authorities, which has happened practically all over the world.
