Uruguay is present at the youth world championship in Rio de Janeiro

The Celeste will seek to improve on the 31 obtained last year in El Salvador

The Uruguayan youth surfing team will be present at the 2023 edition of the International Surfing Association world championship in this category, which will take place between November 24 and December 3 on Macumba beach, Rio de Janeiro.

Ten of the 12 Uruguayans who make up a complete squad will represent the Celeste in the competition.

Some of this year's competitors have experience in ISA events, such as Alfonso Roel, Leandro Passano, Ashelén Cruz and Emma Díaz.

Uruguay finished 31st in the last World Cup held in El Salvador, in which it participated with a full team.
