The best result in recent years for the Uruguayan youth squad was in 2014 in Ecuador when they achieved 16th place in the team category and the best result for a junior in the tournament: ninth for Matías Nóbrega.

*Initially and erroneously, this note did not include the name of Mateo Díaz, and also, erroneously, the categories corresponding to each surfer were reported when these have not yet been defined for some surfers. We apologize to the readers and those involved.
