Uruguayan surfer re-elected president

Federico Deal will remain in charge of the Uruguayan Surfing Union for two more years


Uruguayan surfing re-elected its president, Federico Deal, last Saturday in the elections that took place in the Punta del Este Development Commission, sources related to the authority informed DUKE.

The board of directors of the federation kept its president but changed its vice president and secretary, who are now Rodrigo Guerra from Punta del Diablo and Francisco Pérez del Castillo from La Barra de Maldonado respectively.

In the previous period, Juan Ildefonso Aroztegui and Luisma Iturria held those positions.

Deal completed two years as president in which he organized two circuits in which he managed to carry out online transmission in a good part of the tournaments, participated in two world championships with a full team (WSG of Biarritz 2017 and Juniors of Huntington in 2018), and also launched a USU partner plan with  benefits in various stores, restaurants and hotels for members.
