A new report from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicates that the disease is not transmitted through the air, except in very specific cases involving medical procedures.
The report published on May 15 states: “The Covid-19 virus is transmitted primarily through close physical contact and respiratory droplets. Airborne transmission is possible during aerosol-generating medical procedures.”
This throws out the window the misinterpretation that had been made about scientist Kim Prather, which the LA Times published and which hundreds of media outlets picked up, which indicated that the sea breeze could carry the virus.
