WSL and CT surfers' union sign 10-year agreement

They do not indicate the content of the same. "Insurance and pensions," the WSL's global identity VP briefly explained to DUKE

The World Surf League and World Professional Surfers have signed a 10-year agreement, the WSL said on its website, but did not specify what the deal entails.

WSL Vice President of Global Identity Dave Prodan told DUKE that what was agreed upon was “the same old thing as before, insurance and pensions.” The executive noted that this is a deal that used to be done on an annual basis and is now set for 10 years.

DUKE sent a reply asking specifically about what was agreed but did not receive a response.

In the statement, all stakeholders welcomed the announcement, from WSL CEO Sophie Goldschmidt to surfers' representatives Tatiana Weston Webb and Adrian Buchan.

“It’s fantastic to work with such great athletes and have a great show of trust between each other,” the CEO wrote in a tweet.

Meanwhile, a previously unheard-of person, Christian Beserra, WPS Chief Operating Officer, told the WSL’s daily news special, Surf Breaks, that it was a “on behalf of the best surfers in the world, we are so excited to continue building this platform with the WSL and surfing perfect waves around the world. Cheers to the next 10 years,” said the executive who was not featured on the show.

Nowhere is it stated what the contract consists of.
