WSL announces aerial circuit for 2019

Relevant news was released before the start of the Airborne grand finale in France today

The World Surf League announced that during the 2019 CT tour, a parallel aerial circuit will be held with the same format as the Red Bull Airborne that is currently taking place in Hossegor, France.

According to WSL aerials commissioner Josh Kerr, the circuit will feature the top six performers from this event (Kalani David, Griffin Colapinto, Yago Dora, Matt Meola, Eithan Osborne and Jack Freestone), who have already qualified for next year's "aerials tour" and the rest of the competitors will come through a selection system based on videos and local and WSL guests.

In the Red Bull Airborne broadcast before the final, the cameras were pointed at the finalists listening to Josh Kerr giving information that seemed important. Minutes later, on air in an interview, Kerr broke the news.

Everything indicates that each event will be like this, with 18 guests who will be made up as follows:

-Six qualified for today's final.
-Four regular WSL guests.
-Two guests per video, one over 18 and one up to 18.
-CT guests and local guests.

The latter will be confirmed by the CT authorities.

There is also no word on how many stages there will be and where. It is pretty clear that Teahupoo will not have an airborne stage.
