WSL Marketing Manager Steps Down
Sara Swanson left the surfing tour for tennis; the league that remains CEOless now also has no designated CMO
WSL chief marketing officer Sarah Swanson has left her role to become head of brand for the women's tennis association, reported the Sport Business website last Tuesday.
Swanson had been in the position for three years and seven months, according to her LinkedIn account, after having worked as an NFL marketing officer for nearly eight years.
One of the interim heads of the WSL after Erik Logan was allegedly fired, Cherie Cohen, congratulated Swanson on her hiring by sharing the aforementioned Sport Business article on LinkedIn.
Among the likes to the post on LinkedIn appears precisely that of Logan himself.
With this, the WSL, at least as of today, two days after this announcement, is without a CEO and without a CMO.
