The wave forecast for the longboard finals in El Salvador

There will be waves every day in El Sunzal but two are marked as the best within the waiting period

The WSL World Longboarding Finals have a good forecast for waves ahead but with some challenges to overcome, Surfline reports on its website.

Basically, what the forecast shows today is that the first day of the waiting period, the 9th, and the last, the 13th, are the best days to hold the event.

Although the afternoon of the 9th looks a little deteriorated by the entry of the wind, in the morning and at noon waves of 2 to 3 feet are seen with good conditions, a 16-second swell from the southwest, ideal conditions for El Sunzal.

The size is then maintained although the swell intensity decreases, the period decreases and the sea becomes a little more inconsistent. And the wind also starts to come in earlier in the morning.

Until the afternoon of the 12th another swell of 3 to 4 feet comes in from the southwest, which reaches five feet on the 13th (that in El Sunzal is a double overhead in the series) with a good direction from the southwest and a 16-second period.

The thing is that this will be the last day of the waiting period and the organizers are probably not taking any chances.

It is known that the event has to go on one day, it cannot be cut and resumed.
